Mollies are from the Poecilia genus so they can breed with other fish from the same family. This consists of Guppies, Endler Guppies & different subtypes of Mollies. Nevertheless, you can get best results when you breed Mollies with their own kind. If you want to crossbreed Mollies with Guppies or Mollies with Endler Guppies, the fries will have less chances of survival & they will most likely be infertile.

If you want to Crossbreed Mollies, then my suggestion is to consider different kinds of Mollies. It does not matter whether you have a black sailfin Molly, a golden sailfin Molly or a Dalmatian Molly. As all of them are from the same species, so they can crossbreed with each other.

Guppies & Endler Guppies have many similarities. Therefore, some hobbyists say that they can cross breed to produce viable fries. Nevertheless, these claims are still doubtful.

 

Can Mollies and Guppies Crossbreed?

If you add Mollies & Guppies in the same aquarium, they will most likely crossbreed on their own. The best method to crossbreed Mollies & Guppies is to keep 2 to 3 female Mollies for a single male Guppy. Ensure that you keep best water conditions in their tank & do not put any aggressive fish in the same tank. The offspring of Guppies & Mollies will have less chances of survival. They will be very weak & prone to illnesses. They will also be sterile.
