Have you ever thought of breeding fish & raising babies in a fish bowl? Many aquarists think that fish bowls are not recommended for fish breeding because they are small, & fries need clean water that is hard to achieve in a small filter-less bowl. However, medium to large sized bowls are also available that contain a filter, lights, heater & other necessities needed for fish breeding.
People have successfully bred fish in bowls but spawning depends on the species of fish. Small species such as guppies, platies etc. can spawn in fish bowls.

White Cloud Minnows do not need a tank heater as they can live in cold water. They are beginners friendly due to their hardy nature. Spawning White Cloud Minnows in fish bowls is easy. They do not eat their eggs & babies, so you can keep babies with adults in the same bowl.
Step 3: White Cloud Minnows do not eat their eggs & fries:
White Cloud Minnows like aquatic plants. My male mated with the female, & after the female laid eggs, male spread them over the aquatic plants.
Step 4: What to feed White Cloud Minnow fries?
The hatching time of eggs is about 2 – 3 days. New-born fries will hide in the rock caves or plants. The best food for the little ones is infusoria until they freely swim around. Later, you can feed them baby brine shrimp.
