It is easy to prepare an aquarium for Clown Loaches. They have good behavior but show aggression too, & they can live peacefully with other good temperament fish. Do not keep snails in the tank as Clown Loach might eat them.

It is a famous fish & you can find them at almost any fish shop. They are cheap but need medium care level. Minimum aquarium size for Clown Loaches is 100 gallons.

Feed your Clown Loaches a small amount of diet over a few times every day. Mature Clown Loaches might not eat every diet but small fish can eat almost every food.

Clown Loach likes to live-in fast-moving water currents. Your filter can help move water & aerate it. Your fish loves hiding in plants, rocks or any structures you have placed in your tank.

Clown Loach can reach a length of 1 foot. Adult fish can reach a length of 6 to 8 inches so it is better to set up at least a 100-gallon aquarium for them. Clown Loaches like to swim in schools so set up free space in your fish tank that let your fish swim in teams. They need an intermediate care level so get ready for a challenge.

Clown Loach is an active fish. They need hiding spots in their tank for resting, such as caves & rocks. Other Loaches are active just at night, but Clown Loach shows activeness during day times as well. However, they are very active at dawn or at night.

Take care of your aquarium water. Offer your Clown Loaches clean water, & aerate your water. Clown Loaches need warm water & a filter too which can clean the aquarium.

Clown Loach is sensitive against ich so quarantine any new plants or fish before adding it to your tank. They also show sensitivity against some of the medications. It is suggested to use a half dose of medications if you want to treat Clown Loaches. Please read information on your medicine before using it.
