Catching Australian Salmon at Artillery Rocks (Rock Fishing):
Rock Fishing of Australian Salmon at Artillery Rocks was fun. I began fishing at low tides & stayed at the seashore until high tides. I used bait for catching Aussie Salmon. I released many small Salmon & took a few home.
Name of Australian Salmon is Kohawai in New Zealand. They are amazing fish to catch because of their sheer power & occasional jumping out of the water.
You can collect the trapped fish when fishing off the rocks. Rock fishing is a fun & rewarding activity, however, it can be dangerous especially during high tides.

If you are a dedicated angler, & love rock fishing, then I would recommend you to catch Australian Salmon at artillery rocks. I really enjoyed my meal, & saved some in the fridge.

High ocean tides were rough & a bit dangerous. It is always good to have other fishermen around you.
High tides brought school of Salmon, & they were trapped in the rocks. They could not go back into the ocean so I could easily catch them.
Other species I caught during rock fishing:
While fishing, I caught some pinkies (baby snapper) that were over legal size, however, I released them because they were too small for my meal. I collected rock cods, mullets & tailor during low tides from the rocks.
