Endler’s Livebearers Breeding Tank Setup:

Endler’s Livebearers need at least a 10-gallon aquarium with plenty of plants & hiding spots. It is recommended to keep carpet & floating plants in the aquarium if you want to breed & raise fries in a shared aquarium. Livebearers usually eat their own fries, so it is better to setup a separate tank for raising fries. Plants will temporarily provide hiding spots for the babies when they release from the mother’s belly until you spot them & shift them to a separate aquarium.

Ideal water temperature for Endler Guppy ranges from 22 to 28 °C. Ideal pH ranges from 7.0 to 8.0.

Endler’s Livebearers Breeding:

It is very easy to breed Endler Guppy. If you offer good water conditions, then they will spawn on a regular basis. Females can give birth to a new batch of babies after every 23 to 24 days.

It is recommended to keep 3 females for 1 male so 1 female is not continuously chased by multiple males. Males will nonstop breed with females, so if you have more females, then they won’t focus on a single female.

Setup a Separate Aquarium for Raising Endler Guppy Fries:

According to experts, it is good to keep the fries in a separate aquarium. Adult livebearers have the problem of eating their own fries. If you want to keep the babies in the same tank along with adults, then it is recommended to keep many plants, including floating & carpet plants that will protect babies.

Food for Endler Guppy Fries:

Flake foods are a good diet for little fries because fries can freely swim & eat when they are out of the mother’s belly. If you want to offer a better diet, then baby brine shrimp will help fries grow quickly. It is suggested to feed babies several times everyday till they are 4 weeks old.

Fries reach maturity very quickly, & after 2 months they are able to breed.
