Shrimping trip - 7/30/05
Finally got my own shrimping set-ups, dropped four pots down on Thursday and went back on Saturday to pick them up.
Got a total of six dozen shrimp, not highly productive but better than the last shrimping trip. Dropped on pot in about
650feet of water, the other three in about 275 feet of water.. all pots had some shrimp in them, a couple of them had some starfish in them..

First boat trip of the year - April 16th 2005 - The winds were howling, steady 20-25 knots w/gusts much stronger. We started out dropping 5 shrimp pots in 150ft of water and then went fishing. Most fishing was done in coves (since the water conditions were so rough). Had a couple of bites, but not much else, we had one crap fish get to the boat. The boat handled well, very please with the performance. Looking forward to the 2005 fishing season!   Oh yea, at the end of the day we pulled up the shrimp pots, and we pulled a whole 10 shrimp out. Not the most productive day, but we all had a blast. And the shrimp were mighty tasty....
